Macfarlane Label’s resealable labelling system, Reseal-it, has been honoured in the US at two separate awards events.

Macfarlane’s US partner for Reseal-it, Printpack, received top honours for their Full Access Reseal-it chocolate bar wrap at the 2014 Best of Food and Beverage Packaging Seminar in Minneapolis, Minnesota, scooping the “Best Packaging in Flexible Plastics” award.

The product was also recognised by the Institute of Packaging Professionals with one of their prestigious Ameristar Awards.

Their chocolate bar wrap, which debuted with the Nestlé Wonka bar, allows the consumer to easily open the package, eat a portion of the bar and reseal it for later.

David Read, VP of marketing and technology for Printpack, said: “We are very proud to receive these awards. There were many outstanding packages in the competitions so it is pleasing to come away with these honours.”

The package was manufactured in the company’s Printpack Europe Division.
